outsider house : ウィキペディア英語版
outsider house

Outsider house (also referred to as outsider dance) is a genre of electronic music combining elements of house music, techno and noise. It is characterised by the use of analogue hardware, such as synthesisers and tape machines, rather than digital production techniques. The resulting music is often rough-sounding and "lo-fi", in contrast to the "polished cleanliness" of other contemporary electronic music genres.
The term "outsider dance" was first coined in 2012 by DJ Ben UFO and music journalist Scott Wilson, referring to different producers and record labels "operating at the fringes of the fringes" such as Pan Records artists including Laurel Halo and Hemlock Records, owned by Untold. L.I.E.S., Opal Tapes, 1080p, Workshop, and Lobster Theremin are the go-to labels for Outsider House as the genre has risen in prominence.
Subsequent coverage in The Guardian, '' Spin'' and BET has associated various artists and labels with the genre, including Anthony Naples, Lowtec, Kassem Mosse, Huerco S., Lnrdcroy, Ital, Ñaka Ñaka, OOBE, Patricia, Auscultation, Cloudface, and Michael DeMaio.
